Over 2 million youth, ages 12-17, have a substance use disorder. And, fewer than one percent of these young teenagers get the treatment they need. Teenagers coming out of rehabilitation have no where safe to go and more post treatment programs are needed. The state of Massachussetts is leading the national surge in recovery schools - voluntary, safe and sober public schools for students recovering from addiction to continue their education.
