In the early 1990s, when conservative talk radio and hosts like Rush Limbaugh were gaining massive popularity, a group of journalists in San Francisco banded together to create a radio show that gave listeners a progressive perspective on current events. “Making Contact” aired in 1995 as a 10-week experiment that has now grown into a podcast and a weekly radio show distributed to over 150 stations nationwide. “Making Contact” is an award-winning radio show and podcast, produced by Frequencies of Change Media (FoC Media), that digs into the story beneath the story—contextualizing the narratives that shape our culture.
