THE YOUTH IDEAS RADIO PROJECT
A team of New Haven high school students explore issues in their community through the medium of radio. Students have produced original radio stories that reflect the lives, interest and concerns of teens – including the psychological effects of video gaming, teen perspectives on the meaning of God, the challenges facing single teen moms, the use of music as a marketing tool in retail stores, and the experiences of young performers aspiring to become professional artists.
The Youth Ideas Radio Project is in its third year, and is run by the International Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven, CT (www.artidea.org). The Project is generously funded by The Allianz Foundation for North America.
