Youth Ideas Radio Project 2005
Series produced by Youth Ideas Radio Project

Journalistic radio pieces created by New Haven high school students.
Five New Haven public high school students learned to be radio journalists under the guidance of Karen Michel, National Public Radio reporter, and Lucile Bruce. The students produced stories of varying lengths on topics of personal interest to them, conducting interviews with experts, as well as members of their community. Topics included: aspiring teen musicians; the effects of video gaming on teenagers; single teen moms who stay in school; the psychological impact of music in retail settings; and teens' views on God.
These stories were aired at the 10th annual International Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven, CT in June of 2005. For more information about the Festival, please visit www.artidea.org.
