KGNU is Boulder County's independent, noncommercial community radio station. We seek to stimulate, educate and entertain our audience, to reflect the diversity of the local and world community, and to provide a channel for individuals, groups, issues and music that have been overlooked, suppressed or under-represented by other media. The board, staff and volunteers of KGNU are committed to collaboration with each other. KGNU broadcasts & netcasts a diverse mix of music, news and information 24 hours a day. We have a full time paid staff of five and more than 200 volunteers who program the station and administer its activities. KGNU is funded primarily through listener contributions. KGNU has provided alternative news and music radio programming to Boulder and beyond for more than 25 years!
