In the Field is a radio series dedicated to exploring people’s lives and the contributions people make to our shared cultural legacy through work.

In the Field is a radio series dedicated to exploring people’s lives and the contributions people make to our shared cultural legacy through work. Each episode focuses on an individual and his or her chosen vocation. We learn what they do, why they do it, and how their work shapes and is shaped by our cultural and physical landscape. Listeners will meet teachers, poets, loggers, boatbuilders, sculptors, librarians, dog-mushers, foresters, farmers, wilderness outfitters, fishermen, homemakers and more as we step into a day in the working life of a fellow community member.

In the Field is produced by Barbara Jean Meyers for WTIP Community Radio.

In the Field is supported in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
