Portrait of US is a living, transforming and growing collection of people’s stories. Along with our dog Lucy, we are traveling the country in our truck Ferdinand, towing the Nomadic Photo Ark. The Nomadic Photo Ark is a converted cargo trailer that is equipped with a photo darkroom and small office space, piloted by Monica Jane Frisell and Adam Scher. Since July of 2021, they have been traveling throughout the US collecting 8x10 film portraits and audio stories from folks for their ongoing project Portrait of US.
