Two hapless Con Men - Sam Donovan and Horace Fletcher - bounce around rural Texas towns in the 1940's. While on the run from an angry mob because of their latest enterprise, they stumble upon what looks like a treasure map leading to a fortune in gold hidden in the desert. But they get a little more than they bargain for when they are kicked off a bus in the middle of the hot Texas landscape and find themselves transported back to Texas in the 1880's.
