Inclusive Designers Podcast
Series produced by Inclusive Designers
Designing for human health is a relatively new and constantly evolving field. This Podcast provides a forum for Inclusive Designers to discuss considerations and share evidence-based solutions for the challenges they face in creating environments for health and well-being. Caregivers and family members will also be interested in this information.
Fact: 1-in-4 Americans have some sort of “disability”… these can include issues associated with Aging; Alzheimers; Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD); Autism; brain injuries; cognitive disabilities; paraplegia; PTSD; and visual acuity… to name just a few. The more a designer understands the client and/or the community, the more effective and respectful the design will be.
This series looks at the biological aspects of both home and office environments to discover ways to make them healthier using methods such as movement, biophilia, sound, and lighting. It tackles topics using evidence-based design, and addresses matters of environmental health. The aim of this podcast is to establish a collaborative forum for designers creating healthy environments to discuss these ideas. And when appropriate, include a little fun.
