Series produced by Brett de Hoedt

The Hardest Word features real people from across the globe saying the hardest word of all: sorry. Apologies come from everywhere - Gaza to London, Jamaica to Virginia - and range from hilarious to heartbreaking. Most episodes feature a single apology and last fewer than 5 minutes. Special episodes are based around themes - love, kids, parenthood etc. Truly diverse, intimate, emotional audio. 40 + episodes, more weekly.

The Hardest Word is a show like no other. Real people write and record apologies - always sincere and always different.

No other show features a man apologizing to a monkey, a mother apologizing to her less-loved child or a man apologizing to the neighbour whose life he did not save.

Melbourne-based creator and host Brett de Hoedt and California-based audio director Brian Wallace have created a quiet, moody, grown-up piece of audio. There will be tears but also laughter and wonder.

The show is now heard on London and Swiss radio.
