In this series, scientists talk about themselves and their work, revealing why they went into science, why they pick their fields of study, how they decide on problems to attack, methods they use in the lab, what keeps them curious, and more.

There are two common stereotypes of the scientist. One is of a cold, calculating, individual dissecting animals and mixing smoking chemicals in a lab. The other is of an absent-minded professor in disheveled clothes incapable of dealing with the real world, interested only in matters of the mind. Of course, neither of these is true. In this series, real scientists talk about themselves and their work, revealing themselves to be quite a varied group of extremely interesting and worldly people.
