Black History Minutes
Series produced by KBEM
Minneapolis high school students script and read 60-second pieces based on research into important figures in African American history.
Pieces are done as part of classwork or after-school work in the Minneapolis School district's Digital Media program. A main center of digital media learning is North High School, home to KBEM-FM (88.5, www.jazz88fm.com) where students present jazz and news from 9-3 daily.
