You think you know what local music sounds like?
Thanks to the New York State Music Fund, WXXI Public Radio has created a portrait of the musical life of one American town, Rochester, NY. This thirteen part series travels around the world of musical styles and themes, and never leaves town. The one exception is a few songs by visiting artists recorded at the Rochester International Jazz Fest.
It’s hometown music, and almost all original!
