Cocaine Blues No More!

Fantastic piece. I've got this album on 12'' LP, and it's always been one of my favorites.

The interviews, the extra pieces of audio, and the commentary really made the album come alive for me. I'm obviously too young to have grown up with the album, so it was great to hear so much back story. It really made it relevant for me: a person who didn't have the chance to live in that culture and time.

Now, for me, the album is more than music. Now, it's a story.

Paul's dead, man. I miss him, I miss him...

Just fantastic.

Something of this nature is very heavy. The entire album is being played front to back and people are weighing in on it with personal experiences, opinions, and information. It's not an easy task.

However, this program feels very light and palatable. The conversation doesn't take away from the music and vice versa. And in the end, I think playing the tracks all the way through was the right way to go.

It's the 40th anniversary of an album worth celebrating.

Inspirational

If anything, all of that exercise is going to be what makes their lives, longer, healthier, and more fulfilling.

You got a lot of great audio from these guys, and you picked the perfect pieces to play. You really get caught up in their passion.

Spectacular Story

It just goes to show how many sub-communities you can find within one larger community.

Plus, the internet has allowed the punk community to network so much more efficiently. Friends of mine in bands go on lengthy tours just because all of these satellite punk communities across the US are happy to help them book spaces, promote shows, and give them a place to sleep when the show is over.

New Musicians

No matter what the age, I love hearing kids exploring music.

These girls are very genuine and they've got no reason to be pretentious about anything, and that's the best part. They're only in it for their love of music.

That was a fantastic version of "Kenya"! I love the band and I own Sea Lion, but I've never seen the band live, unfortunately. They really pull together a surprisingly different version of the track in the midst of performance, don't they?
