Review of Nepalese Superstar, American Everyman: Prem Raja Mahat

Very clear, very engaging. A good example of our interesting world. The gulf of popular culture and available lifestyles. The strange realities of emigration. Very likable personalities in both interviewer and subject.

Review of At Home with Ani DiFranco

Being a fan of Ms. DiFranco and knowing a bit about her may somewhat bias my opinion of this interview. However, I believe any person off the street would be intrigued and drawn in by the intimacy, information, and pacing of the interview. The background information was sufficient and left room for answers not to be redundant; and the choice and lengths of music pieces were just right. I would very happily listen to this piece again if I came across it on the airwaves!

Review of Seeking Peace on Earth: The 2007 Peace Talks Radio Special (59:00/54:00)

This is the first time I have come across Peace Talk Radio. I have to say Bravo! As stated in the piece about Ralph Bunche - we do not hear enough about, and know even less about who the peacemakers are and how they have influenced the world (aside from the big names - MKG, MLK, Mother Teresa.

The way in which the pieces were paced and the tone were very digestible - my wife, whom is not a radio person, walked into the room and listened to a portion of the piece with me and then later discussed what we had heard.

I would highly recommend this piece and will go into the archives to listen to more Peace Talk Radio.

Review of Turkeys

Scott Carrier is great at getting down to the bare bones. He is so very unassuming that his interviewees seem to just speak to him in the plainest manner. It is this ability that opens to the listener the reality of whatever situation he is investigating. I guess this review is more about Scott then this particular piece.

As for this piece I think it would work well on any radio show trying to give a rounded view of the holiday and all of its aspects.
