About Me
Full time reporter with an emphasis on producing four minute audio pieces for Iowa Public Radio and video pieces for Internet distribution. Most stories are about arts and culture but I work other beats as assigned from Iowa and national news desks. As my story unfolds I like the ongoing dialogue with my assignment editors to help shape or redefine the focus and a brutal script edit so we can make a better piece. I have strong post production skills and am very flexible when working in the field.
I am available for freelance work.
Before working in news I was a music program producer for classical, jazz, and new age genres and spent ten years moonlighting as an adjunct professor teaching production, operations, and editing classes.
