Personal confrontation of a real problem for over 40 million Americans. Great for the average listener. And for the more well-to-do listener, those with executive influence, it can connect them to a reality they may not see.
I appreciate that this piece took a fairly complex issue (good and bad fats, etc) and simplified it for the average consumer. As a health professional I see how well they did just that.
Just the kind of "in-between" piece I'd like to hear on the radio. It teaches me something and gives me real application in my own life.
My only complaint is a general one - any study that is cited/reviewed has its limitations. None were mentioned here.
Made me smile and made me mad - a truth-telling piece. Excellent.
Who hasn't faced frustration when dealing with a physician? Communication can be challenging. Mix in legal retraints and you have a recipe for struggle.
I'm not adopted, but I could feel the frustration one would face in such a circumstance.
A provocative and frustrating theme perfectly softened by humor and good pacing.
I'd like to hear more pieces like this on my radio.

Review of Life in a Brothel
Interviewer/host speaks too slow. Some uneven pauses. Difficult to listen to at times.
Interesting detail - provocative enough to make me overlook the problems and pay attention to the story. Overall a sad story.
Definitely not a driveway moments story.
