I thought this was a great piece. I very much appreciated that, even as you questioned whether a marriage equality agenda would benefit many people, you had people speak to the fact that it would represent real benefits to some people. News media that doesn't break an issue into opposing "sides", but instead let's a story have many entangled and conflicting issues and interpretations are really great. Thanks!
This piece provided a very cursory introduction to some artists of French chanson. I would have liked a little more discussion of what are the common characteristics of French chanson, (something about instrumentation, perhaps?) and I would have liked to hear at least one or two songs in full.
