WUFT-FM is a 100,000 watt public radio station serving 16 counties in North Central Florida. Signing on in September of 1981, WUFT quickly garnered a reputation as one of the top public radio stations in the country.

Broadcasting on 89.1 FM in stereo from studios located in Gainesville at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, WUFT-FM presents national, state, and local news, along with public affairs programs.

89.1-2 WUFT-HD2 (WUFT Classic) is home to classical and jazz programming as well as special musical performances (also broadcast on 102.7 FM in Gainesville).

89.1-3 WUFT-HD3 (GHQ) serves as a training site for University of Florida students to polish their craft with a student-run CHR station, known as GHQ, which also broadcasts on 95.3 FM in Gainesville.
