In addition to syndicating concerts by such renowned orchestras as the Chicago Symphony OrchestraNew York PhilharmonicMilwaukee Symphony OrchestraLos Angeles Philharmonic and San Francisco Symphony, the WFMT Radio Network also makes available signature WFMT shows like Midnight Special with host Marilyn Rea Beyer; Exploring Music with Bill McGlaughlinCollector’s Corner with Henry Fogel; and Fiesta! with Elbio Barilari, focusing on the classical music of South America, Spain and Portugal.

And look to the WFMT Radio Network for full seasons of opera from such distinguished companies as Los Angeles Opera On-Air, and the finest operas from Europe through our ongoing partnership with the European Broadcasting Union. We are also an important source for early music, chamber music, jazz and folk, with shows like Early Music NowChamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival.

The WFMT Orchestra Series is a year-round series that combines exceptional orchestras from across the country and around the world. Each quarter, listeners will hear fantastic concerts, including the LA Phil (Summer), Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (Fall), San Francisco Symphony (Spring), and a scintillating variety in the Winter Quarter, including orchestras from Europe, the UK, California, and China. Each episode is intended to be broadcast the week it releases, but some exceptions can be made for stations that wish to air an orchestra later in the year. Contact us for details.

This Week from China’s National Centre for the Performing Arts showcases the best-in-class musicianship of the orchestra of Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and its affiliated programs in choral music, traditional Chinese forms, opera, and more. With a focus on presenting familiar Western masterworks alongside new and traditional Chinese composers, maestro LÜ Jia and the NCPA Orchestra are sure to delight casual listeners and classical aficionados alike. This Week from China’s National Centre for the Performing Arts is designed to complement WFMT’s orchestral series and is available for broadcast starting in late December or at any time throughout the year.

The WFMT Radio Network is pleased to announce the first half of an exciting new season of opera productions in the 2024 WFMT Radio Network Opera Series, beginning June 15 and running through November 30, 2024. This first portion of the season spans through September 7, and features thrilling performances from many of the great opera houses and theaters of Vienna, France, London, Italy, and more, with world-renowned artists.
