Americas Country Station of the Year for 2012 as selected by Nashville's New Music Weekly Magazine even though we are a LPFM with a variety music format that is only about 60% country music.  KALH - Variety 95.1 FM (www.kalh.org ) serves Alamogordo, La Luz, Holloman FFB, White Sands Misslie Range and Tularosa, New Mexico.  That's a population base of about 50,000.  KALH provides the ONLY source of local and regiona news on the radio in this market area and we do that 7 days a week.  We are also an affiliate of the USA Radio Network.  We featuer specialty music programing evenings and weekends for an area that is underserved by commercial station, even though there are 7 of them licensed within this market and more that come in from neighboring markets.
