A five-part podcast about the stories we DON'T tell, what they say about our world, and what they do to our minds.

"The Secrets We Keep" is a limited-series podcast about the stories we DON'T tell, what they say about our world, and what they do to our minds. Over five episodes, host/producer Karen Brown explores taboos and stigmas about LGBTQ identity, abortion, genetic origins, and money - with a pilot episode about a family secret from her own childhood. We hear from those who keep the secrets as well as those kept in the dark -- with a bit of social science, history and politics thrown in. A production of New England Public Media and the NPR Network.
