The Remember When Christmas Show

The Remember When Show can trace it’s inception back to 1981, when two long-time friends and fans of Doo Wop, R&B and early Rock music and record collectors took their passion for this music to the non-commercial airwaves of WRIU in South Kingstown, RI, and The Remember When Show was born!

In short order, Jim Raposa and the late Steve Rothwell (a/k/a “The Duke of Doo Wop”) developed a loyal Sunday afternoon following on Southern New England airwaves.

These two specials, hosted by Jim Raposa and offered via PRX, take the original concept of the show and spotlight the great Doo Wop, R&B and early Christmas music made popular in the 1950s and 60’s. If your audience has a passion for the group harmony sound of the past, this is the Christmas special that’ll have ‘em locked onto your station this holiday season!

We’re offering two separate hours running 56:30 each. Run one hour or both…we’re pretty flexible that way.
