Hi there. As you can see, I list The Soul Show as a free purchase on PRX. Truth is, I believe it’s worth more to you. Based on the standard PRX rates, the next choice is 88 dollars, which I know a lot of small stations can’t afford, and which larger stations won’t pay until I have a long, syndicated track record.

More truth: The Soul Show, aside from the donated labors of love, does carry real monthly costs: Adobe subscription, Google Drive subscription, Mixcloud fees, to name some.

As we always say during public radio campaigns, the beauty is that listeners can set the value and give what’s feasible. As an independent producer these days, the message is the same. 88.00 might be too much per episode, but how about 30.00, 20.00, 10.00 or 5.00?
