The culture of South Texas and America's great gift to the world come together as TPR's Nathan Cone and bandleader Doc Watkins host an hour of great music, recorded live at Jazz, TX in San Antonio.

This live music series is recorded live at Jazz, TX at the historic Pearl Brewery in San Antonio. On-stage and backstage interviews offer insight into the music and performers. Music to talk ratio approximately 85/15.

Performers include a mix of South Texas favorites and nationally-known artists like Jane Monheit, Herlin Riley, Kevin Eubanks, and many more. Anchoring the series is Doc Watkins himself, bandleader and club owner, who performs in small group settings as well as with the Doc Watkins Orchestra.
