When It Was Live has an extensive audio archive that ranges from original recordings of drama, comedy, western, suspense, and soap opera that spans broadcasting from the late 1920s through the 1960s. In many cases these vintage programs contain their original commercial spots. From Jack Benny to Fiber Magee and Mollie; from The Shadow to Lights out Theater - When It Was Live brings it all back to life.
We take pride in producing special tributes to the stars, performers and programs that were heard 'on the air' during radio's golden era. When It Was Live also recounts important historic events of our nation's past as originally 'heard' over radio more than a half century ago.
