For Fall 2011, Action Speaks looks at how the border between conflict and amusement is disappearing and what it portends for good TV…are we all embedded?

Action Speaks! is a series of contemporary topic-driven panel discussions framed by the theme, “Underappreciated Dates that Changed America.” Each panel draws three or four experts, academics, creative, and other relevant guests into an open-ended discussion with the larger community in the casual atmosphere if the downtown providence arts organization, AS220. Action Speaks! has partnered with WGBH since 2010 and has been heard on over 250 radio stations. Tune in to host Marc Levitt and this endless parade of fascinating intellects and insightful audience members!

Action Speaks! is produced by AS220 with generous funding from the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities and the law firm of Robinson & Cole, LLP. We would like to thank our media partners: WGBH, RIPBS, and the Providence Phoenix. Special thanks also to Host and Co-Executive Producer Marc Levitt, Co-Executive Producer Bert Crenca, Producer Kaitlynne Ward, Editor and Sound Engineer Jim Moses, Zac Drummond and Anthony Ferreiera for sound assistance, Alyssa Kichula, for her generous volunteer time, Interns Jacquelyn Harris and Nate Weisenberg, our Advisory Board, and Providence’s own What Cheer Brigade, for our original intro music.
