Navigating Life with Science and Soul

The Mystic’s Almanac is a weekly 5-minute radio column that offers listeners inspiration to navigate their daily lives.

The stories are gleaned from real-life experience. Rather than preaching or offering advice, these stories celebrate the wisdom embodied in the daily lives of ordinary people.
Stories have the power to move the heart while enlightening the mind. Judith Boice has the ear to hear these stories, from her own and others’ lives, and brings them to life in compelling tales for radio listeners. Like an almanac, the episodes cover a wide variety of topics, e.g. ending a marriage, recovering from cancer, walking with a holy man around a sacred mountain in India, and collecting heirloom seeds. Although some of the episodes play out against the backdrop of “exotic” locations, most are gleaned from the stuff of daily life, where all true mysteries reside.

“The Mystic’s Almanac is perfect for busy people who want depth. I remember the episodes–they come back to mind again and again through the week. They are (nourishing) fast food for the soul.”
