Next gen in Kansas City MO

In late October 2008 we met in Kansas City. We had five students, five mentors plus a visual journalism team. We took a different approach to this project. To use the cliche we were Next Gen 3.0, producing public radio pieces but, as you can see in the photo, learning about and producing visual storytelling as well. All within LESS than a week.
Here are the audio stories there were reported and produced that week. With each audio piece, we produced a companion "slideshow." That is, the same story, re-told with pictures and audio to match.
