Celebrate diversity and honor immigrant workers in Whatcom County! MONDAY MAY 1st

A 7:30min interview with Nora Delagarca-Inda and her father Rueben. A snapshot of her family?s history of how they came to Whatcom County, in Washington State, to work in the fields. She and other members of her family are now legal citizens of the United States. As a family they did ?piece work? picking berries, hops and cutting asparagus, combining their earnings to survive, only sending money home to family members that were ill. She is now a county worker, home owner, and tax payer. Through her employer she has health benefits.She and her father came to help form a Union and show support for undocumented workers in the US and to show their support for Amnesty. There will be two pieces to pick from. The longer piece of 7:30mins and an excerpt (1:30mins) that can be reworked(edited) to play beyond today(see suggested edits).
