The Peabody House is the only HIV residential care home in New England. As the house prepares to close, residents and staff consider what this means for their lives, and for the future of HIV care.

Ph_small Since 1995, people dying of AIDS could go to the Peabody House in Portland Maine for residential care. Today, so many people with HIV are living healthy lives, the Peabody House is closing. That’s good news for HIV care, but the staff and residents that remain at the house face a difficult transition. Selena Simmons-Duffin has the story of the house’s last days.
