February 21st, the U.S. Supreme Court took another chop at the 1965 Voting Rights Act by refusing to hear a 2001 Mississippi gerrymandering case called Buck v. Reeves.   The Reeves case goes back over 20 years, when a federal panel rejected racially gerrymandered maps drawn after the 2000 U.S. Census.

The defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Election Systems came to a screeching – and expensive – halt Tuesday, as Fox Corporation agreed to pay $787.5 million dollars without having to make an on-air apology.  Fox’s troubles are not over yet, however.
