Mtpr-logo-1400-square_medium_small This special features excerpts from 5 conversations taken from the StoryCorps mobile tour in Missoula in 2022. The first is a grandmother and grandson discussing her experience as a child in the English program "Operation Pied Piper" during WWII. The second is a mother and daughter discussing the mother's life living between two continents, participating in school integration, and the daughter's coming out as gay. The third is a discussion between a participant and StoryCorps facilitator, discussing the participant's discovery that her biological father was not the man who raised her. The fourth excerpts a story between a father and daughter, where dad discusses a solo coastal trip he took on a motorcycle at 16. The fifth is a conversation between a father and daughter about the father's life and philosophy, kindness, and how his work as a blacksmith has influenced his worldview. The sixth is a conversation between a case manager and a formerly unhoused veteran about his experience of being homeless. The seventh is another excerpt from an earlier conversation between father and daughter about the daughter's experience of being in preschool and feeling alienated by how she was expected to conform to norms in her environment.
