The narrative of “distant mourning and burials” has taken a slight backseat to the latest headlines of “social and economic justice reform.” Though a long overdue demand for change, this sudden pivot from one humanitarian crisis to another has re-directed Americans’ attention from hanging onto the daily Covid death count to now being more immune to those same statistics.
For one surviving family member, the emotions and process of grieving the death of an older brother has taken on new meaning for him, including religious modifications of what burial now entails in a new world.
“What does ‘Protesting’ Mean to Someone in this Current Moment?”
From Jed Alexander | 07:34

We know the moment feels right and being present and supportive makes sense to the individual. But do we ever take the time to reflect as to the actual “why”: “Why am I here” and “what does it mean to me?”
