This production consists of interwoven testimonials about Blair Mountain, the historic labor movement battle site in southern West Virginia. It includes testimonial from a man who was present during the Battle of Blair in 1921 and several testimonials of participants in the 2011 march on the mountain to protest mining of the historic site. The piece balances spoken voice with music from the mine war era performed by contemporary artists. Excepting one song, all of this music is part of the Blair Pathways project, a music project designed to educate listeners about the Southern West Virginia Coal Wars and the labor movements that came before and after the Battle of Blair Mountain.
