As part of a level 1 curriculum that introduces high school students to media production, Free Spirit Media at North Lawndale College Prep spent one month focusing on audio recording. Students wrote, performed, and recorded personal poetry based on the prompt: "Where I'm From." Among other requirements, students included sensory-based descriptions, balanced audio, and, in most cases, added a soundtrack to complement their pieces.
