An interesting and moving remembrance of a complicated musician. A good background on a lesser known artist, and it was very interesting hearing all the versions of pancho and lefty.
This was a joy to listen to. It celebrates his music, personality and story while not glossing over the painful and troubling parts. The program was very well produced and the musical selections and editing were top-notch.
I sort of feel like I've picked up up Townes as he was thumbing for a ride after listening to this program. This had me hooked from the start as it set me on a Texas barstool and made me feel part of the scene the way only great radio can.
A vivid, immaculately-produced documentary about the legendary singer-songwriter. Features live performances and perceptive interviews. Highly-recommended for both fans and neophytes.
