Very nice job! Some humor and quite forthright. I liked it for all the contrasts. But in the end, as the author demonstrates, people have quite a bit in common, sans politics. Very good for now until T-Day.
In this age of partisan politics, this little essay piece is a refreshing story of an attempt to bridge the gap. It gets at the tricky business of deconstructing cultural sterotypes through the ritual of familes sitting down together for Thanksgiving dinner, putting differences aside. Would be a nice addition to a holiday programming.

A well told story with a good tone for the holidays. The writing keeps you engaged, with good use of humor to keep listeners interested.
Also, good use of first person and good writing to let listeners imagine spending Thanksgiving in the South.
Good for showcase shows. Nice job.
