  • Location: Austin, Texas

Hey, we're Youth Spin. Youth Spin is a group of high school students who all love to produce good youth radio! Our show is crewed by teens, high-school age and under, and we broadcast in Austin, Texas on 91.7 FM KOOP (and we stream online through koop.org), on Fridays from 6-7pm every week. Youth Spin is a nationally recognized youth radio program run under the auspices of KOOP radio and the Griffin School. High School students from all over Austin and the surrounding area have taken part in this unique, radio program. Our pieces are varied: they range from collages of several short pieces to long features to commentaries, series, and interviews. We enjoy all types of writing for radio, though we also enjoy playing some of our favorite songs in between pieces. We hope you like our pieces and we hope you all enjoy hearing the news from a teen perspective. :)
