Documentary on One - RTE, Ireland

The 'Documentary on One' unit is currently the most successful radio documentary unit in the world - having collected over 40 national and international awards in less than the last 3 years. We are also the single most successful programme strand in the history of Irish broadcasting, TV and/or Radio. Together with our sister series 'The Curious Ear', we offer 1hr of documentary programming on RTE Radio 1 each and every week. We tell radio stories about real life. We're all about ideas, life, events, experiences, perspectives but most importantly - stories. Our fare is pretty eclectic and covers a diverse range of topics including life, sport, music, fun, family, health, politics, challenge, death and much much more. The Documentary on One and Curious Ear explore mostly Irish stories about mostly Irish people and events. Our ethos as public service broadcasters is to ensure as many people as possible get to hear our work.
