170 Million Americans for Public Broadcasting
is a collaboration of public radio and television stations, national organizations, producers, viewers, and listeners in favor of a strong public media in the United States.

The campaign's hub is a website where anyone can sign up to join a nationwide grassroots network. When lawmakers are considering bills important to public broadcasting's funding and future, the campaign will mobilize this network. We'll call upon those who've signed up to act on behalf of public broadcasting, by emailing and calling their representatives and encouraging others to join the effort.

The first call to action may come soon, as three separate bills to defund public broadcasting are already before Congress.

Public broadcasting stations are critical to the success of this campaign. Hundreds have already signed on as partners, and are getting the word out to their audiences both on-air and online. To become a partner, please contact the campaign.

Below are audio promos produced by PRX, by NPR, and by Derrick Stevens, Steven Anderson, and Charlotte Peterson of Minnesota Public Radio. We encourage you to include these in your broadcasts.
