I WANTED TO HEAR THIS FIRST SO I TURNED IT ON JUST AT MIDNIGHT. FELL ASLEEP. BUT I WOKE UP SINGING SONGS FROM CHICAGO. BY THE WAY, GOING TO DO A DORIS SPECIAL?
I'm not a big consumer of podcasts outside of the political realm. However, I found this short piece revelatory and humanistic.... It used an unfamiliar world (competitive dance) to explore larger themes of sexual partnership.
I especially appreciated the lack of artifice, and the invisibility of the editor. Many podcasts seem over produced, and excessively dramatic. This was more like a natural conversation over a cup of coffee as opposed to an advocacy piece. It drew me in with its unadorned honesty.
thank you. you are right, we seldom listen to the music. unless of course its the plaintiff wailings of the great donald as he heads to the guillotine.
A great list of songs as usual, no surprise there. It was the interview that catapulted this show into the stratosphere. The one two punch Cory Daniels delivers to his listeners with this Helton/Tilson interview is incredible. I've collected music memorabilia for 2 decades and this show was incitful and educational. Keep em coming CD!!!
sometimes when i think of that time i wonder how we must have just wanted to fight. something, anything. just to fight and win. did not quite work out that way.
