Piece Information
- "Sonic Ghoul"
- Summary: For years I've been obsessed with death, asking people about living, dying, killing (www.livediekill.org) but really getting into the dying. For even more years I've collected sounds of beings as they die, after death, and sonic artifacts left behind. This piece is a sonic essay about death and dying and references, ironically, Ravi Shankar and his father's cremation (and uses Shankar's music). My dog and my uncle both died recently; they're in there, too.

maybe it's just that time of year? the passing of ravi shankar, and some other great musical souls, seems to have me thinking.... yes, of death. which is always around those in life. eerie, ghoulish, sure to stir up them listeners.
