Now that's a lovely piece of work. The Sly Crooner manages to take the listener on a trip without he/she even having to leave the room. But not just a trip to somewhere; no, a trip to sometime. A trip to a time before class and style were hummed and drummed out of life, before aesthetics were measured by accountants and nothing had any value besides the number on the far side of the dollar sign.
That piano bar and the world that swirls around it iare places more real than anyone could wish for.
It's a party I want to join.
Just one thing: the martinis. Please, Sly, have the bartender shake mine.
