- Summary: At the one year anniversary observance of 911, Guitarist Sharon Isbin was invited to perform at Ground Zero during the reading of the names of the 3000 people who perished. Seated near the heart of Ground Zero, within arm's and eye's reach of many of the victims' families, the guitarist had a profound revelation that being a musician means more than just playing music. Classical guitarist Isbin reflects on the moment she realized her role as a musician is more than playing music for people. At 31 seconds, this is the shortest piece I've reviewed, but the importance of her words is not lost due to the length.
