I like this story. It's got a great narrative and good use of sound. The writing, pacing and sound kept me engaged and made the piece easy to follow. It also provides a good sense of place. The flow is excellent with a logical progression.
I knew nothing about ice cutting in New England, and now feel like I have a grasp of it.
This would be a great piece to run during Weekend Edition Sunday, Living on Earth, Weekend America or a local news magazine.
Great job!
