Review of Orchestral London

Bravo! The Music Was Royal! The musical selections in "Orchestral London" as presented by Fred Flaxman unfold a special quality of endearment from the past -- mixed with hope for a bright future on the horizon.

Being able to tune into this kind of music on the radio in the early hours of the morning is especially enjoyable -- lightening and refreshing one constantly during any kind of morning burden -- especially when driving a long distance between cities. The bright sound of the music with even paced melodies helps a person to stay alert and awake through pre-dawn hours for driving or work without being distractive overly much from either.

This kind of music and well-played jazz and big band are perfect for public radio because many people listen while driving and this music helps to even out and relax tempers in crowded city driving. That makes just one of several excellent reasons for playing this kind of music on the radio as a service to the public.

Another excellent reason for airing this music is related to the heritage of the music. This country under the present government was established largely by our forefathers who pilgrimaged here primarily from England and other parts of Europe. Turning occasionally to the music of our heritage is a very good way to pay homage to who we are -- the merit of the music itself to this point notwithstanding.

The pieces you presented in "Orchestral London" were exceptionally representative of the regal and royal English ancestral heritage of the founding fathers of this country. Outstanding selection -- and you presented them with a very easy-to-listen-to speaking style.

I would like stations playing more of these kind of well-presented musical tributes to our heritage from England. I hope that Mr. Flaxman is encouraged to keep up his good work with these productions and that his work can be heard on stations coast to coast!
