Review of St. Patrick's Day in Ireland - A Child's View

Quick! This sweet little vox of Irish children is just the ticket for St. Paddy's Day. Even if you've got your Irish programming all set, it would be worth rearranging things for the sounds of these adorable children and their wisdom about the man who drove the snakes out of Ireland, (even reminding them to buckle up in the process)

Really well done, thanks, Maeve!

Review of Gay in the Heartland

You don't have to be gay or from the Heartland to love this piece. But you should be ready to sit with your ear next to the speaker for the entire ten plus minutes, because it will grab you and MAKE you listen. From the deviled eggs to the "no fags in heaven," protestors--we could use a little more of this kind of heart on the radio.
It's awesome.

Review of What Brought the House Down

This is hysterical. That's all I can say, it really made me laugh, and I seriously thought it was going to be boring as hell. Not so! It wasn't even contrived (okay, my next fear).

My nine year old loved it, and to quote her, "I blame President Bush for everything. Even if I trip and hurt my foot." This one spoke to her, but I'm old and it spoke to me, too. A universal piece, well, universal in select circles, I guess. Too bad I waited almost two years to hear it.

We applauded for two minutes, I swear.

Review of A new genre of family entertainment

This is a really well written piece right off the bat, puts you right into the home studio and gives great details about the animator. The sound and the kids really draw the listener in...you feel as if you're right in the room.

I think the interest and listenability of this piece would make it a hit across a wide range of audiences. But I have to agree with Townes, couldn't find the URL very well when I wanted to turn my kids onto it. The flip side of that is that i find URL's in stories kind of annoying. Dilemma!
