I've decided I like the way Ben Walker sees the world and that all the Joe Frank comparisons don't do that way of seeing the world justice. Joe Frank does Joe Frank, and Ben does...well, something distinctly different, distinctly Ben, a particularly nice distinctness since this is a half hour in large part about living authentically in a fake world. Ben's Ben-ness comes to mind because something in the whole ode to Philip K Dick crystalized for me what the Ben-ness is - it's a happy hybrid between weirdo dizzying surrealism and the true and real. Nice stuff Walker. Only comment would be to include a little "show" along with all the "tell." After all that PKDick eulogizing, it would have been nice to hear some.
