Remarkable "Dylan @ 70" Special Program

Sound Opinion’s has produced a wonderful one-hour special to mark Bob Dylan’s music and career as he becomes 70 on May 24,2011. This is a stand-alone program that is not a weekly Sound Opinions episode. It is available only via PRX and is free to all stations.

I have been a Dylan fan for many years. One of the things I like the most about this special program – Like A Rolling Stone - The Music of Bob Dylan is that it doesn’t try to tell the whole story. The program focuses, deeply and lovingly, on Dylan’s early acoustic years through his transition to electric guitar.

Hosts Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis share stories and perspectives with Dylan scholar Clinton Heylin and legendary musician and Dylan collaborator Al Kooper. Kooper tells amazing first-hand accounts about recording sessions and concerts during the time Dylan went electric. Myths are debunked and you feel like you are there on the scene.

Without hesitation, I recommend Sound Opinions Presents: Like A Rolling Stone - The Music of Bob Dylan to news and music stations. Your listeners will thank you.
